Flights to Brisbane

Brisbane, cosmopolitan city and gateway to Queensland, offers a wealth of activities to visitors. Whether it's relaxing on the city's riverside beach, climbing the Story Bridge or kayaking around Moreton Island, there's something for everyone in Brisbane.

A number of airlines offer flights to Brisbane, including Etihad Airways, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Korean Air and Cathay Pacific, all stopping in their relevant hub cities on the way to Australia and each with their own unique offering onboard.

As you land in Brisbane, spending some time in this wonderful city before heading up the coast to Fraser Island and the Great Barrier Reef, is a must. Hire a bike and explore the city on two wheels or take a free guided walk through the city to learn more about Brisbane's history and culture. One thing you shouldn't miss out on while in Brisbane is visiting the Mt Coot-tha Lookout in Mount Coot-tha Forest. The views across Brisbane and out to Moreton Island and the sea are beautiful, particularly in the evening.

Venture up the Queensland coast and you can explore the Sunshine Coast towns of Caloundra, Mooloolaba and Noosa before arriving at Fraser Island, the world's largest sand island. Another quick flight takes you to Tropical North Queensland and access to the beautiful islands of the Great Barrier Reef and the stunning Whitsundays. With an average temperature of 27C, as well as beautiful walking trails and beaches, a short ferry ride to Hamilton Island is an absolute must.

Visit our 'How to Book a Stopover' guide to see how easy it is to book your own stopover.

How to book a stopover
One of the easiest ways to book a stopover is actually to book the flights and hotel separate. Booking multi-city flights might seem like a hassle but many companies like eBookers check stopover flights that offer the best deals. You can select which city you want to stopover in and, once booked, you then have time to check hotels in your stopover city before booking.

Step 1 - Book your multi-city flights with a reputable brand such as Expedia
Step 2 - Find a hotel that suits you, that's within your budget. YOU can be your own travel agent.
